    Description: Diagnosis: Acute Appendicitis Gender: F Age 20 yo Hx: Patient presents abdominal pain for 12 hours. No vomit, fever, or other GI symptoms. Exam: No tenderness or visceromegaly. Ultrasound: Slide 25/26 shows typical findings for acute appendicitis. Appendicular diameter greater than 6 mm (~8mm in this case), with increased echogenicity of the appendix muscularis mucosa and of the surrounding fat tissue.
