Xanthoma tuberosum is a yellow or orange flat or elevated round papule occurring in clusters on the skin of joints, especially the elbows and knees, usually in people who have a hereditary lipid storage disease such as hyperlipoproteinemia. The xanthomatous papules also may be associated with biliary cirrhosis and myxedema. Also called tuberous xanthoma, xanthoma tuberosum multiplex.
