S1 and S2 Heart Sound Visualization
show more Title: S1 and S2 Heart Sound Visualization Depositor: batchuser@i-human.com Creator: Paul Kent, MD Rush Medical College Description: Top panel: Normal physiologic splitting. During expiration A2 and P2 are separated by less than 30 ms and are heard as a single sound. During inspiration the splitting interval widens and A2 and P2 are clearly separated into two distinctively audible sounds. Bottom panel: Audible expiratory splitting . In contrast to normal physiological splitting two distinct sounds and easily heard during expiration. Wide hysiological splitting is due to delay . Reverse splitting is due to delay in A2, resulting in paradoxical movement; that is, with inspiration P2 moves toward A2 and the splitting interval narrows. Narrow physiological splitting is seen in pulmonary hypertension, and both A2 and P2 are heard during the expiration at a narrow splitting interval due to increased intensity and high-frequency composition of P2. Histological Plane Sections
show more Title: Histological Plane Sections Depositor: batchuser@i-human.com Creator: Kristin Al-Ghoul, PhD Associate Professor, Anatomy and Cell Biology Rush Medical College Description: 1. Various histological planes of section: Elongated structures may be cit in longitudinal (A), oblique (B) or transverse (C) section. Rounded structures may be cut in transverse (D) or tangential (E) section. 2. Sections through an ovoid structure (a hardboiled egg). 3. Sections of straight tubes: Longitudinal sections (A-C) cut at various levels relative to the lumen, C does not include the lumen. Transverse section (D). Oblique section (E). 4. Sections of curved tubes. 5. The partitions appear different in each plane of section. In transverse (A) section, segments are all the same shape, size and orientation. In oblique (B) section and longitudinal (C) sections the segments appear unequal in size and shape. Keywords: Histology, Histology, Comparative, Transverse, Longitudinal, Radiography, Tangential, Oblique Date Uploaded: 08/26/2013 -
